About CoderTool
CoderTool is a set of free online compilers and code editors for everyday use. The idea is simple: open a page, write some code, press Run. No account, no installation, no setup.
Why we built it
Trying a small piece of code should not mean installing a toolchain. Whether you are learning your first language, checking how a function behaves or practising for an exam, you should be able to do it in a few seconds from any device.
One layout for every language
Each language has its own page, and they all share the same layout. Once you have used one, you know them all, so you can spend your time learning new syntax instead of a new tool.
Available now
- Online Python compiler
- Online JavaScript compiler
- Online TypeScript compiler
- Online SQL compiler
- Online HTML/CSS/JS compiler
- Online C compiler
- Online C++ compiler
- Online PHP compiler
- Online Ruby compiler
More languages are planned. C, C++, PHP and Ruby already run in your browser. Languages such as Java need extra infrastructure, so they will arrive later.
How it runs
The current compilers run inside your browser, using JavaScript and WebAssembly. That keeps them fast and free, and means your code does not have to be sent to a server to be run.
